Many of us now look back on our lives and say; “IF I ONLY KNEW BACK THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW”, my life would be different. I would have made better choices and decisions; I would have asked more questions; I would have taken a different route; I would have waited longer before I got married; I would have gone to college or taken up some kind of a trade; I would have joined the military; I would have started my career much earlier; I would have done more for my parents; I would have given my parents more honor and respect; I would have spent more time with my children; I would have finished college; I would have waited longer before I started a family; I would have taken better care of my body; I would have paid more attention to my dental health; I would have started saving and investing earlier, etc. The list goes on and on.Having hindsight is everything. However, hindsight is too late when most of our life has passed us by and we can’t go back and change things. We can only look back, but we can’t go back. So, what do we do with the information and the wisdom we have gained from our past? We should pass it on to the next generation so they can be much wiser when making those same decisions and choices that will affect them for the rest of their lives.
